ABOUT THE ROLE

The Specialist – Strategic Projects in LAHAB plays a pivotal role in driving organizational transformation and business excellence. This position is responsible for defining, leading, and monitoring key internal strategic projects, contributing to the establishment of robust governance frameworks, and actively communicating company progress to internal and external stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define & Scope: Conceptualize and define high-impact strategic projects focused on internal development, process optimization, and organizational change.
  • Lead & Deliver: Manage end-to-end execution of cross-functional strategic initiatives within a complex technology driven manufacturing environment.
  • Monitor & Control: Track project milestones, deliverables, budgets, and risks to ensure successful and timely alignment with corporate objectives.Governance
  • Frameworks: Support the design, rollout, and enforcement of corporate governance structures and PMO methodologies.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Establish strategic KPIs, tracking mechanisms, and executive dashboards to monitor organizational performance and project health.
  • Change & Advisory: Facilitate organizational change management to ensure seamless adoption of new structures and operational standards.
  • Progress & Status Communication: Articulate and communicate the overall status and progress of the company’s strategic development to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as a central point of contact for strategic progress, preparing tailored reports and briefings for C-level executives, department heads, and external entities (e.g., government bodies, EDGE-Group, strategic partners in the GCC region).
  • Strategic Engagement: Ensure transparent, consistent, and proactive alignment across all levels to drive buy-in for key strategic initiatives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Defence Studies.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory. Professional-level command of both languages is required for executive reporting, engagement with local authorities, and strategic stakeholder management across the GCC region.
  • 3–5+ years of proven experience in strategic project management, in-house consulting, or PMO functions, ideally within a manufacturing or heavy industry environment (Defence, Aerospace, or Automotive preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in designing governance frameworks, performance monitoring systems (KPIs), and driving organizational change.
  • Exceptional presentation, executive drafting, and moderation skills with the ability to summarize complex technical/strategic matters for C-level leadership.
  • Proficiency with PM tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and data visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for executive reporting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional PM certification (e.g., PMP / PMI, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) or Change Management accreditation (e.g., Prosci).
  • Prior work experience within the GCC region and strong cross-cultural competency.
  • Familiarity with defense industry regulations, compliance standards, or military procurement processes.
