Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and systems in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA, AS9100).
- Conduct detailed inspections and tests on aviation components, assemblies, and finished products to verify conformance to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Prepare and review quality documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, corrective action plans, and quality manuals. Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with company and regulatory standards.
- Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities and improve product quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing processes. Utilize quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and FMEA.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of materials and components. Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and performance evaluations.
- Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices to foster a culture of quality within the organization.
- Identify potential risks to product quality and safety, and develop mitigation strategies to address these risks.
- Work closely with customers to address quality-related concerns, provide technical support, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- Experience in quality assurance within the aviation industry.
- Strong knowledge of aviation industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA, AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience with quality management software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
