Range Conducting Officer - Flight Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Flight Test Engineer to lead and support UAV flight test campaigns for our customers. This role is critical in ensuring system performance, safety, and regulatory compliance through structured testing, detailed analysis, and comprehensive reporting.

You will play a hands-on role across the full flight test lifecycle—from planning and execution to data analysis and continuous improvement of testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute UAV flight test campaigns for customer programs
• Define flight test profiles, scenarios, and objectives
• Coordinate with customer logistics teams and program managers for test planning, transportation, and on-site activities
• Organize and lead Flight Readiness Reviews (FRRs) prior to test execution
• Supervise and oversee on-site flight test operations
• Monitor UAV performance in real time via telemetry systems
• Collect, process, and analyze flight test and telemetry data
• Perform detailed analysis using Flight Test Engineering (FTE) tools and simulation models
• Evaluate system performance, including stability, control, maneuverability, and safety
• Produce comprehensive flight test and analysis reports with clear conclusions and recommendations
• Collaborate closely with operations, safety teams, and customer stakeholders
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of flight test processes, tools, and procedures
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Min 5 years of experience in flight test engineering, preferably with UAV systems
• Strong knowledge of flight dynamics, control systems, and data analysis techniques
• Experience with telemetry systems, flight simulation, and modelling tools
• Familiarity with aviation safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in dynamic, field-based environments and travel as required
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Bilingual in Arabic and English is an advantage
