Key Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing repairs, maintenance, and special projects in operations machining for oil and gas and defence.
• Incumbent will be involved in project management and collaboration with various teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time.
• Plan, coordinate, and lead special projects from start to finish, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Work with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to execute repair and maintenance projects.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment and infrastructure.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Diagnose issues and implement solutions promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, projects, and inspections, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and manuals.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels for tools, materials, and supplies required for repairs and special projects.
• Inspect completed work and ensure that all repairs and projects are finished to high standards, addressing any deficiencies in a timely manner.
• Prepare cost estimates for repairs and projects, ensuring they align with budget constraints, and work to control expenses.
• Implement environmentally friendly practices, materials, and systems as part of repair and special projects, contributing to the company’s sustainability goals.
• Ensure all repair and maintenance equipment is in good working condition, scheduling repairs and servicing as necessary.
• Identify areas for process improvement, enhance operational efficiency, and proactively propose new ideas to reduce costs and improve the overall effectiveness of maintenance operations.
• Conduct routine audits of facilities to ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, addressing repair requests, resolving concerns, and ensuring excellent service delivery.
• Programming, designing and optimization in all Special & repair activities

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in engineering OR Diploma in Engineering or Trade school certificate or equivalent
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• CNC Machine Programming

Experience

• 10 years of experience in relevant field in oil and gas and defence machining industry
• Proven experience translating mechanical documents and engineering drawings.
• Hands on strong experience in CNC programming.
