Senior 3D CAD Designer - LAHAB

Department: Engineering & Development (E&D)

Location : Abu Dhabi, UAE

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior 3D CAD Designer to support product development, engineering change implementation, and production activities. The role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all technical design data throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

-Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models based on engineering concepts, calculations, and design inputs
-Prepare manufacturing-ready drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, materials, finishes, and Bills of Materials (BOM)
-Apply company drafting standards, GD&T, ISO standards, and quality requirements
-Update and revise drawings in accordance with approved Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)
-Ensure all drawings comply with engineering, regulatory, and configuration management standards
-Upload, manage, and maintain drawing documentation within the PLM system
-Support prototype development and production by resolving drawing-related technical queries
-Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to ensure design intent is maintained
-Interface with suppliers on technical drawing and design clarifications when required
-Ensure compliance with all Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) instructions and approved safe working procedures

Required Competencies

Technical and Functional Skills

-Advanced knowledge of product design
-Specialist-level proficiency in 3D CAD modelling software
-Specialist understanding of engineering drawing standards and GD&T
-Intermediate knowledge of PLM and ERP systems
-Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field

Experience Requirements

-5–8 years of experience as a Senior 3D CAD Designer in a product development, engineering, or manufacturing environment
-Experience working within formalized engineering and configuration management environments
-Proven experience supporting structured engineering change processes
