Key Accountabilities

• Understand all principles of Documentation Management and Control and implementation of processes
• Compile and maintain Configuration Management Plans (CMP)
• Liaise with project team to gain an in-depth understanding of the configuration requirements of the project
• Identity CM requirements that cover the system, hardware, software and data/info requirements
• Collaborate with the project design / development team to provide support on multiple, concurrent configuration baselines aligned with the CM Plans
• Apply Verification mechanisms to ensure correct baselines are delivered
• Produce reports on configuration status of specific projects
• Conduct System, Functional and Physical audits to validate the accuracy of product data per product
• Coach, guide engineers on the Configuration Management Processes they need to follow
• Configuration Planning : Resources are identified and individuals to understand their responsibility, authority, accountability and the procedures for performing CM 
• Configuration Identification : This function is related to fully identifying the configuration of a product, e.g numbering
• Configuration Change Control : After the initial release of configurations and baselines, all changes should be controlled
• Configuration Status Accounting : Record keeping and report generation relating to the status of the configuration
• Configuration Audits : To assure the product complies with its specified requirements and to assure the product is accurately reflected by its configuration

Knowledge/Qualification & Experience

• Minimum of 10 years extensive hands-on experience in configuration management / document control within a systems engineering methodology in a technology company
• Preferred minimum of 7 years experience in an Aerospace or Defence environment
• High school diploma
• Be certified in an International CM Course (Minimum 4 Courses) 
• Technical background with diplomas in either Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of ANSI/EIA 649, System engineering principles, software CM system – Windchill / SAP
