Key Accountabilities
- Plan the set-up of project sites ensuring sufficient availability of resources; schedule upcoming tasks and activities.
- Arrange appropriate transportation to facilitate the movement of goods in compliance with the project requirements.
- Oversee the process of receiving, dispatching and storage of materials while managing information from point of origin to delivery and resolve any issues that may hamper the efficient workflow.
- Track shipments to ensure they arrive on time and ensure complete documentation and authorization of all shipments to maintain accurate records.
- Utilize inventory management system to monitor and maintain optimum inventory levels at minimum costs.
- Organize the storage and oversee the repair and maintenance of the storage facility.
- Coordinate and monitor the workflow ensuring all who are involved in the project execution (ex. Logistics operators, helpers, contractors, etc.) perform their assigned tasks at their optimal capacity.
- Identify training requirements to support the junior staff and consistently maintain high working standards.
- Maintain the logistics database and prepare weekly report related to material movements and logistics matters.
- Communicate with various stakeholders including customers, vendors, colleagues, key people across departments to ensure smooth flow of information while providing regular updates on the tasks.
- Prioritize work orders and organize tasks based on project deadlines.
- Review processes and systems to look for improvement opportunities; design and implement new plans and procedures as required.
- Ensure compliance and conformity with all legislative safety directives and regulations including OSHA policies and protocols to maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment.

Knowledge/Qualification & Experience
- Minimum 12 years of extensive experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Preferred 5+ years of experience in Logistics and Warehousing in Defence Manufacturing company.
- Bachelor degree in supply chain management, business administration, or industrial engineering
- Masters degree with a focus on logistics or operations
- Preferred Certifications in Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) / Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) / Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) / Lean Six Sigma
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, warehouse management systems), negotiation techniques to secure favorable terms with vendors, carriers, and other stakeholders, such as pricing, contracts, and service agreements.
