Core Accountabilities:

 

  • Configure Windchill PLM to support business processes (workflows, lifecycle states, access control, document types, change management, etc.).
  • Define and maintain CAD data management rules, including naming conventions (Schema rules), and BOM structures.
  • Configure and validate CAD Parameters for Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, and map to Windchill.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windchill PLM, CAD publishing and workflow issues, coordinate with support for unresolved issues, and maintain documentation of issues and resolution in a timely manner.
  • Monitor usage, optimize system configurations with collaboration with Windchill Systems admin.
  • Manage windchill users with in the teams of Products and support Product Configuration team.
  • Develop standardized templates / reports, and dashboards as per business needs and process compliance reports.
  • Develop and maintain Windchill PLM configurations to align with business requirements.
  • Adopt the Windchill business processes and should be able to suggest the best practice way of working.
  • Train the new users on Windchill PLM and Engineers for CAD integrations with windchill.
  • Prepare proper documentation of all configuration & changes and adopt custom build deployment packages.
  • Should be able to customize or develop tools on Windchill PLM to automate manual processes with in Windchill with out deviating the OOTB functionalities.
  • Act as liaison between business users (engineering/manufacturing) and IT system administrators.
  • Provide user support and training on business process with in PLM, configured Windchill features & CAD Integrations.
  • Document configuration changes and maintain a controlled knowledge base.
  • Perform other responsibilities and additional duties as assigned in a timely manner.

 

 

Qualification / Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong understanding of Windchill modules (PDM Link, Parts Link, MPM Link, Project Link).
  • Knowledge of CAD publishing processes, visualization, and derivative file generation.
  • Familiarity with PLM data structures (parts, documents, BOMs, CAD-doc links, etc.).
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in PLM configuration, preferably in PTC Windchill.
  • Experience with CAD integrations and multi-CAD environments (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in configuring and validating visualization of EPM documents in required file formats.
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Windchill configuration expertise (workflows, lifecycle, ACL configurations).
  • CAD Integrations and CAD parameters mapping knowledge (CAD - SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo).
  • Data modeling and process configuration as per Business requirements.
  • Understand Business needs and map it to Windchill process.
  • Excellent in documentation & Business-User training expertise.
  • Effective stakeholder management.
