In this role as Senior Engineer – Network Testing, you will design, develop, and execute tests for early product prototypes, develop and implement testing pipelines based on customer use cases, and provide support to other team members to ensure compliance to time-frame, quality, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop testing pipelines, evaluate early prototypes to meet performance specifications.
• Define test cases based on customer use cases and ensure that all developed customer requirements are comprehensively tested.
• Perform functional and unit testing and provide feedback for developers and architects
• Conduct throughput, latency, and packet loss stress test for L2/L3 networking features
• Evaluate features behaviour under variable networking conditions
• Setup tests using network emulators, traffic generators, packet captures and network simulators
• Produce clear and concise test reports and recommendations for prototypes improvement
• Work with cross-functional teams and share testing outputs with relevant stakeholders
• Support testing and troubleshooting activities of networking features deployed on modems and other networking products
• Ensure testing compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to network connectivity, and internetworking.

Education and Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in networking, testing, and troubleshooting

Key Skills

•    Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, Linux networking, C/C++ and Python.
•    Experience with testing tools, network emulators, simulators and testing pipelines.
•    Proficiency in using networking test equipment, such as traffic generators, modems, routers, network analyzers, etc.
•    Experience with conducting comprehensive testing plans and preparing testing reports
•    Experience in testing networking topologies and operational features within the network topology.
•    Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•    Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
