The Role
We are seeking a Senior GNC Engineer to lead the development and integration of advanced Guidance, Navigation, and Control systems across next-generation aerospace and autonomous platforms. You will be responsible for designing end-to-end flight behavior — from navigation and sensor fusion to guidance logic and closed-loop control — ensuring system accuracy, stability, and mission success. This role is ideal for a seasoned technical specialist eager to shape the evolution of autonomous flight systems.


Key Responsibilities


Guidance:
•    Develop real-time guidance algorithms for optimal trajectory generation, path following, and mission planning.
•    Implement autonomous decision-making logic for dynamic re-routing and mission adaptation.


Navigation:
•    Design and implement robust multi-sensor navigation solutions using GNSS, INS, visual odometry, LIDAR, radar, and altimeters.
•    Apply advanced estimation techniques for accurate state estimation in contested or denied environments.
•    Validate and tune navigation filters through simulation and field testing.


Control:
•    Design, simulate, and optimize flight control laws for both linear and nonlinear systems.
•    Ensure dynamic stability and performance across all flight regimes.
•    Support actuator modeling, control surface tuning, and hardware integration.
•    Collaborate with avionics and embedded software teams to implement real-time control algorithms.


System Integration & Testing:
•    Develop GNC simulation environments to test full-stack performance under diverse mission conditions.
•    Support Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and real-world flight testing for algorithm validation and tuning.
•    Lead GNC subsystem integration across hardware and software interfaces.


Leadership & Documentation:
•    Serve as the technical lead on GNC projects, mentoring junior engineers and driving system architecture decisions.
•    Maintain clear, regulatory-compliant documentation for design rationale, simulation results, testing procedures, and safety cases.


Required Qualifications
•    Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Control Systems, or related field. PhD is a plus.
•    Experience: 8+ years in GNC design and implementation in aerospace, defense, UAVs, or autonomous systems.
•    Core Skills:
o    Strong understanding of dynamics, control theory, and estimation methods.
o    Proven experience with MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++.
o    Expertise with GNSS/INS integration, sensor fusion, and real-time algorithm deployment.
o    Familiarity with flight control and navigation hardware, sensors, and embedded systems.


Technical Tools
•    MATLAB/Simulink
•    C/C++ programming environments
•    Exposure to real-time operating systems (RTOS)
•    SIL and HIL testing frameworks
•    Flight simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo, ROS preferred)
•    Understanding of aerospace development standards (DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A)
