Job Description:
- Responsible for the immediate leadership, guidance and supervision for all assigned Armament Workshop and Support workshop employees.
- Plan and oversee the execution of all maintenance activities within the Armament Workshop, with particular emphasis on both light and heavy tracked and wheeled vehicle turret systems, weapons and small arms.
- Ensure that all maintenance inspections, servicing, rebuilds, overhauls and repairs are accomplished in accordance with all technical manuals, KPIs and OEM specifications.
- Develop, implement, revise and enforce all maintenance directives within the Armament Workshop and Support workshop
- Develop, implement, revise and enforce all quality directives as part of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System program.
- Responsible for the daily performance of staff in executing fleet and component PM and CM as outlines in the ASP.
- Perform quality work as part of the latest ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Coach and develop junior managers and technical staff.
- Provide strategic and technical input to both the Associate Director, Maintenance and Executive Director of Program
- Ensure the strategic direction and operations of the workshops are in line with the overall company goals and values
- Assist in the identification, implementation and monitoring of performance metrics to ensure KPIs are attained or exceeded.
- Identify negative trends and streamline the maintenance process.
- Foster cooperative relationships with leaders from within AL TAIF and customer
- Provide input to the annual budget.
- Monitor and approve monetary expenditures
- Assist in the development and execution of On-the-Job Training (OJT) in support of the apprenticeship program.
- Oversee the storage and disposal of all hazardous materials in accordance with all environmental directives
- Ensure compliance with all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
- Ensure that all light and heavy tracked and wheeled vehicle turret systems, weapons and small arms spare parts research is performed and that only required spare parts are requisitioned in the appropriate quantities.
- Ensure that all maintenance related documentation is completed in accordance with all maintenance directives.
- Review the job performance and training of all Armament Workshop employees to ensure the successful and effective accomplishment of all required tasks.
- Recommend and provide additional training when determined necessary.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
- Perform other duties as required by the Associate Director, Maintenance.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering required, Master degree preferred, or Equivalent years of Experiences in the same field
- A minimum of eight to ten years of experience supervising, managing, and/or directing light and heavy tracked and/or wheeled turret maintenance is preferred.
Key Skills:
- Previous military experience or automotive industry management experience is an advantage, particularly in supervising weapons and small arms maintenance.
- Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and SAP is preferred.
- The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.
- Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license.
