Key Responsibilities:
- Interface with corporate headquarters, the customer and others as required.
- Act in coordination with senior management to develop review and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Perform quality work as part of the ISO 9001Quality Management System program.
- Assist the Director HC in developing the organisation’s HR strategies by identifying and researching HR issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to the organisations direct and thinking; and establishing HR objectives in line with organisational objectives.
- Implement HR strategies by establishing department accountabilities including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, compliance and labour relations.
- Manage HR operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counselling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing staff contributions; maintaining compensation; determining production, productivity, quality and customer-service strategies; designing systems, accumulating resources; resolving problems and implementing change.
- Develop HR operation financial strategies by estimating, forecasting and anticipating requirements, trends and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analysing results; initiating corrective actions; and minimising the impact of variances.
- Act in a capacity to support recruiting, phase-in and training for all company employees.
- Maintain a practical knowledge of existing and up-to-date local labour laws to ensure company compliance.
- Research methodologies and techniques and then implement a plan to add value to the program and increase the nationalisation percentage across the company (e.g. teach the teacher in the maintenance school, management training programs etc.).
- Establish resources for existing and prospective employees with regard to policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
- Perform difficult staffing duties including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, dismissal of employees and oversight of disciplinary procedures.
- Analyse and recommend to senior management modifications to compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Support management by providing HR advice, counsel and decision recommendations.
- Update job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organisations.
- Review all department activities to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and established AL TAIF Quality and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards.
- Oversee the development of performance metrics for the department to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are met or exceeded.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company documents.
Experience and Education :
- Bachelor degree in HR or related field required, Master degree preferred, or Equivalent years of Experiences in same field
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience working in HR
- A minimum of 6 years managing/supervising a team is required.
- A thorough understanding of UAE HR laws, regulations and Nationalisation requirements is preferred.
Skills:
- Experience with contractual provisions and regulations specific to the Middle East is an advantage.
- An ability to interact with all levels of employees in a multi-cultural workforce is preferred.
- An excellent grasp of Microsoft Office software is required.
- The ability to communicate effectively in both English and Arabic, in writing and verbally is required.
- Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license.
