Key Responsibilities:
- Provide immediate leadership, guidance, and supervision of all assigned Maintenance employees.
- Oversee and monitor the execution of vehicular Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) within all workshops
- Project Workshop in accordance with the Annual Service Plan (ASP).
- Monitor vehicle servicing Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) throughout the maintenance repair cycle.
- Coach and develop subordinate managers and technical staff.
- Assist in the development, implementation, revision, and enforcement of all maintenance directives.
- Review, consolidate, and submit reports, technical information and performance related data as requested.
- Review all assigned Workshop activities to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and established AL TAIF Quality and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards.
- Ensure all assigned Workshops strategic direction and operations align with departmental objectives, and values.
- Direct depot level maintenance support to include maintenance and modification of track laying and wheeled vehicles and allied trades support.
- Assist in the development of performance metrics for all assigned Workshops to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are met or exceeded.
- Identify negative maintenance trends and facilitate continuous improvement actions to enhance Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) performance.
- Oversee and monitor direct labor utilization.
- Accountable for employee timesheet accuracy, ensure that requested overtime is warranted.
- Ensure that all safety, housekeeping, and environmental directives are met or exceeded.
- Ensure that the storage and disposal of all hazardous materials is in accordance with all environmental directives and host country regulations.
- Ensure that all issued tools, test equipment and high-value property are maintained in a serviceable condition, routinely inventoried and safeguarded.
- Provide input into the Annual Maintenance & Production Control Budget.
- Recommend and provide additional training when determined necessary.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Director, Maintenance & Production Control.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is required. Minimum twelve to fifteen years of experience in depot level maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO)
- A minimum of eight years experience in maintenance management, logistics and/or production control is required.
Previous depot level maintenance experience is an advantage
Skills:
- Experience in managing complex projects is required
- Previous experience using a CMMS such as Maximo, SAP etc. is preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and ISO methodologies, practices, and processes in a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) setting is an advantage.
- An excellent grasp of Microsoft Office software is required.
- The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.
