Key Responsibilities

•    Support the line manager in procurement and supplier management activities, Including strategic suppliers, technology OEM’s, contract and pricing agreement negotiations, project management, and supplier performance reporting. 
•    Support purchasing projects and define objectives, resources, timelines, specifications, supplier selection criteria in close collaboration with the business
•    Manage representatives of strategic supplier relationships to optimize cost, quality and service as well as minimize risks for operations
•    Tracking and monitoring of KPI / Management Information of supplier delivery versus contract and in particular and link and payment against risk/reward model.
•    Developing and driving supplier improvement plans when performance is not at required standard.
•    Developing and agreeing supplier account plans to drive the relationship forwards and maximize value.
•    Tracking and monitoring of financial performance of supplier delivery versus business requirements and/or contractual commitments.
•    Ensuring supplier performance & contractual delivery is optimized , be operating as the central point of contact for the Suppliers.
•    Ensuring relevant financial controls are in place to assess cost/price consistency & avoidance of irregularities
•    Support line manager to ensure that contract management systems related to vendor contracts is current and accurate.
•    Implement contract deliverables and obligations, as well as stakeholder expectations, are met
•    Monitor contract conditions and events (duration, consequences, losses), deadlines, milestones and contract-related correspondence and act accordingly.
•    Provide coaching / consulting to line management on procuremetn operations process as required
•    Coach specialists to take ownership of their Learning and Development needs.
•    Demonstrate ongoing commitment to participation in professional development as per organisational policy and procedure.
•    Adhere to the Code of Conduct in a manner that is consistent with both its spirit and intent.
•    Adhere to organisational policies, procedures and practices 
•    Act with honesty, integrity and good faith at all times. 
•    Undertake any other duties, consistent with skills and experience, as directed by the reporting manager.

 

Experience and Education Qualification

•    Bachelors / Master’s Degree (Supply Chain, Technology, Business) preferable.
•    10 years of relevant Sourcing & Procurement experience with experience in supporting cost reduction projects, value improvement programs, basic contracting, eSourcing and spot buying, preferably in a technology industry required
•    Professional Purchasing (e.g. CIPS Level 4 or above) Certification

 

Key Skills

•    Demonstrated understanding of some or the entire major spend categories and potential cost levers or market fundamentals.
•    Demonstrated understanding of some / all of the major technologies and Supply direct spend categories and potential cost levers or market fundamentals
•    Proficient in Procurement specific systems and processes for the efficient management of sourcing events and contract negotiations (e.g. eSourcing, eAuction) with familiarity and awareness of relevant legal risks and issues
•    Experience or demonstrated understanding in Category Management principles and frameworks and the development of sourcing strategies
•    Proven Financial and Business Acumen.
•    Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment with multi-project and multi-product technology organization.
•    Experience in providing customer support globally.
•    Experience or knowledge of offshore or shared service operating environments.
•    Demonstrated ability in collating, organizing, analyzing, visualizing and reporting complex financial data with solid grounding in basic procurement and financial processes and systems.
•    Documented international strategic sourcing, category management and / or cost reduction experience
•    Experience with enterprise systems (Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Procurement / procure-to-pay tools 
•    Excellent communication skills and demonstrated understanding of how to translate business requirements into Procurement operations and specifications with the best value and customer service in mind.
•    Strong people/stakeholder skills, and have demonstrated capability in upwards management, with the ability to appropriately and respectfully challenge.
•    Strong analytical, negotiation and team-building skills.
•    Self-starter, team player, effective leader and able to work in a cross-cultural environment.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong negotiation skills
