Senior Mechanical Draughtsman (Design Verification – Creo & PLM) 

Halcon is looking for Senior Mechanical Draughtsman who has expertise in design verifications with CREO and PLM backgroudn. The Senior Mechanical Draughtsman is responsible for verifying and approving engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical documents to ensure accuracy, compliance with BS 8888, GD&T, and customer requirements. The role supports design integrity, manufacturability, safety, and configuration control.

Key Responsibilities

• Drawing Verification — Check 2D drawings and 3D models for accuracy, completeness, tolerances, datum structures, fits, finishes, and material callouts.
• GD&T Validation — Ensure compliance with ISO/ASME and BS 8888 standards.
• Assembly Review — Verify interfaces, clearances, stack‑ups, and manufacturability.
• Standards Governance — Enforce drafting conventions and defence/aerospace requirements.
• Configuration Management — Check revisions, change notes, and PLM lifecycle accuracy in Windchill.
• Quality Support — Identify design errors and support engineering review gates.
• Mentoring — Assist junior staff with Creo and Windchill.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years experience in engineering or drawing office environments.
• Strong expertise in Creo and working knowledge of Windchill PLM.
• Advanced understanding of BS 8888 and international drawing standards.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, machining, fabrication, and assembly.
• Experience in defence, aerospace, or precision engineering industries.
• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience as Checker, Senior Draughtsman, or Design Engineer beneficial.
• Knowledge of MIL or aerospace standards advantageous.
