Job Responsibilities:
- Simulation Development: Lead the design and development of high-fidelity UAV simulation models, including aerodynamics, propulsion, controls, sensors, and environmental factors.
- Algorithm Development: Develop and implement algorithms for UAV control, navigation, path planning, sensor fusion, and other relevant functionalities within the simulation environment.
- Integration: Integrate simulation models with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems, flight simulators, and other simulation platforms to enable realistic testing and validation of UAV systems.
- Validation and Verification: Conduct extensive validation and verification of simulation models against real-world data, ensuring accuracy and reliability in predicting UAV behavior and performance.
- Optimization: Optimize simulation performance, scalability, and fidelity to meet project requirements and performance targets.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including UAV engineers, software developers, and researchers, to understand system requirements and refine simulation capabilities.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and test plans, to support simulation development and usage.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guiding them in best practices for simulation development and engineering methodologies.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in UAV technology, simulation techniques, and industry standards, and apply innovative approaches to enhance simulation capabilities and improve overall system performance.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8 or more years of experience in UAV simulation development, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex simulation models.
- Proficiency in simulation software such as MATLAB/Simulink, Amesim, or similar tools.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, or Java, with experience in developing simulation software and algorithms.
- In-depth knowledge of UAV dynamics, aerodynamics, controls, and related disciplines.
- Experience with HIL simulation, flight dynamics modeling, and sensor simulation is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a passion for creating realistic and accurate simulation environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
