Key Accountabilities
- Strategic Planning - Support Procurement Management in strategic decision-making through thorough analysis of business needs and supply markets.
- Stakeholder Support - Provide expert guidance to stakeholders in defining procurement requirements aligned with organizational goals.
- Procurement Execution - Develop and execute comprehensive procurement plans and budgets for high-quality, cost-efficient supplies.
- Supplier Management - Lead contract formulation, negotiation, and management to optimize supplier relationships and ensure quality standards.
- Performance Monitoring - Oversee supplier performance, invoice verification, and database maintenance for accurate records.
- Process Improvement - Identify and implement opportunities to enhance value and reduce costs in procurement processes.
- Team Supervision and Development - Allocate purchase requisitions to Procurement Officers, providing guidance and oversight to ensure timely and effective procurement processes, while fostering professional growth and development within the team.
- Continuous Improvement - Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance value and reduce costs in the procurement process, leveraging analytical insights and industry best practices.
- Ethical Practices - Ensure adherence to ethical procurement practices.
- System Proficiency - Utilize procurement ERP systems effectively for planning and execution.
- Stakeholder Engagement - Employ negotiation skills to engage stakeholders in procurement decisions.
- Relationship Building - Build strong relationships with suppliers to drive value and innovation.
- Analytical Skills - Utilize advanced analytical skills for data evaluation and decision-making
Knowledge/Qualification & Experience
- Preferred 12 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and supplier management..
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in business administration / Finance & Accounts / Supply Chain Management / Procurement and Logistics.
- Preferred: Professional CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) qualification or equivalent
- Familiarity with procurement ERP systems such as SAP.
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics process.
- Proficiency in sourcing and procurement strategies and techniques.
- Procurement Software Proficiency: Demonstrates advanced proficiency in utilizing procurement software and systems, such as ERP and e-procurement platforms, to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize procurement operations.
- Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Possesses a comprehensive understanding of procurement laws, regulations, and policies, ensuring strict adherence to relevant standards and requirements to mitigate legal and compliance risks.
- Budget Management: Exhibits strong skills in managing procurement budgets, effectively controlling costs, and implementing strategies to achieve cost savings.
