About ADASI
At ADASI, we lead the UAE and the wider MENA region in developing and delivering cutting-edge autonomous systems. As a key entity within the EDGE Group, we provide comprehensive unmanned solutions across air, land, and sea — supporting tactical and strategic defense missions.
From design to deployment, we integrate advanced technologies with local capability, empowering our clients with operational superiority. At ADASI, you’ll contribute to world-class UAV systems, working alongside a team committed to innovation, mission readiness, and national defense excellence.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Tooling to join our high-impact UAV manufacturing division. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of tooling design and development, using CAD software (preferably CATIA) to support the production and integration of advanced unmanned platforms. You will drive tooling excellence across internal teams and external partners — from concept design and validation to tool maintenance and automation integration — ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and repeatability in support of serial UAV production.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop tools for UAV manufacturing and integration using CAD/CATIA.
• Improve existing tools and lead tool validation for both in-house production and subcontractor deliveries.
• Manage the tooling lifecycle — from cost estimation and make/buy decisions to inspection, maintenance planning, and registry tracking (SAP preferred).
• Apply concurrent engineering principles to streamline mold design time and reduce tooling delivery cycles.
• Drive tooling standardization, configuration management, and implementation of reusable templates for speed and consistency.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure technical feasibility, quality, and timely delivery of tooling.
• Support the creation of tool inspection reports, repair documentation, and dimensional validation records.
• Contribute to the automation of manufacturing/testing processes in collaboration with the EDGE Automation team.
• Assist in the development and revision of internal procedures and compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 standards.
• Provide mentorship to Tool Engineers and junior team members, supporting their technical growth.
• Actively engage in IPT (Integrated Project Team) settings to ensure cross-functional success.
• Update operating KPIs and participate in internal/external audits for continuous quality improvement.
What You’ll Bring
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant technical field.
• 7 - 10 years Demonstrated experience in UAV tooling design or related aerospace manufacturing environments.
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous tooling projects is a plus.
Skills & Technical Competencies:
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software (preferably CATIA).
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP is a strong advantage).
• Sound understanding of manufacturing processes for UAV platforms.
• Knowledge of PFMA, tool configuration, and quality inspection principles.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Working knowledge of QMS systems including AS9100 and ISO 9001.
Behavioral Competencies:
• Attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
• Strong work ethic and ownership mentality.
• Adaptability, teamwork, and effective time management.
• Ability to innovate and drive tooling improvements.
Working Environment
• 80% office-based, 20% factory floor.
• Occasional travel and on-site testing support may be required.
• High-performance, deadline-driven environment with a strong focus on precision and collaboration.
