We are seeking a Senior Specialist – Air Trials to support the preparation, coordination, and safety assessment of flight tests at our test range. Reporting to the Air Trial SME, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of flight test activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, consolidate, and analyse technical and operational data for flight test preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and customer documentation.
- Support the planning, organization, and coordination of flight tests involving aircraft, UAVs, and missile systems.
- Prepare Test Risk Assessments in collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders; apply risk analysis methodologies including identification, classification, mitigation, and rating.
- Collaborate with the Scheduler to plan and optimize test activities.
- Coordinate with the Test Safety Manager to ensure safety compliance, and present test programs and safety assessments to the Test Safety Board.
- Work with the Range Controlling Officer to define and manage NOTAM requirements and support permits for UAVs and aircraft movements.
- Provide operational support during test campaigns and contribute to continuous improvement of test preparation and safety processes.
- Ensure environmentally responsible work practices, and exercise authority to stop work if safety or environmental risks arise.
- Report environmental and QHSE incidents to the QHSE Manager and relevant authorities following established procedures.
Experience & Qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in aerospace, flight testing, systems engineering, or safety engineering.
- Practical experience through work, internships, or academic projects in flight testing, UAV operations, or safety analysis is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and environmentally responsible practices.
