Job Title: Senior Commercial Planning Specialist
 

 

Job Purpose

This role involves developing and executing strategic commercial plans to drive business growth, optimize revenue, and ensure alignment with the company's overall objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review of Profit & Loss statement and Assumptions.
  • Timely preparation of Profit & Loss statement and Assumptions, Customer Pricing and commercial summary
  • Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with business goals
  • Design and execute strategies to maximize sales and revenue.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management to guide decision-making.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports on commercial activities and outcomes.
  • Identify potential risks to commercial operations and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Advise on the process changes to reduce the timelines for Customer pricing and P&L preparation.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to commercial activities.
  • Detailed Cashflow at a milestone level for cash inflows and outflows
  • Support in budget analysis and preparation of presentations for budget and Business Plan
  • Review of Order Intake with the Business Development Department and Proposal Team.
  • Develop template for standard costing; unit cost analysis; reports; inventory analysis; cost absorption parameters and any other template required based on the specific project requirements.
  • Encourage the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance commercial performance
  • Ensue that the commercial operations are carried out per EARTH/EDGE policy, procedures and applicable regulations
  • Deliver effective communication to customer queries within given time from the day of the receiving the queries.
  • Deliver EDGE adhoc report requests.

 

Experience and Education

  • 5-8 years of experience in commercial planning and pricing in a public/private organization.
  • Bachelor degree in accounting/ finance or equivalent.
  • Master degree in accounting/ finance or equivalent.
  • Professional certification in accountancy (CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA etc.)
  • Experience in pricing and commercial planning in a public/private sector defence engineering organization.
