The position is responsible for the direct supervision of all signage preparation and production activities within the Crafting Section of the Allied Trades Workshop at AL TAIF TECHNICAL SERVICES LLC. This role plays a critical part in supporting the successful execution of the maintenance mission by overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient use of skilled labor, equipment, and materials to meet production schedules and quality standards. The incumbent reviews detailed technical drawings and specifications to define job scope and resource requirements, while also leading the training, development, and performance management of assigned personnel. A strong focus is placed on continuous improvement and adherence to technical manuals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. The role ensures full compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety), and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) standards. Additionally, the position supports the development of a safe and healthy work environment by complying with all relevant health, safety, and environmental directives, and ensures alignment with company policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Major Duties & Responsibilites:

• Lead and supervise Signage and Crafting Senior Technicians and Technicians to ensure efficient execution of fabrication and maintenance tasks in support of customer operations.

• Interpret and apply detailed engineering drawings, military specifications, and technical manuals to define job scope and determine material and equipment requirements.

• Plan and coordinate crafting and signage production schedules, including job distribution, machine loading, manpower allocation, and workflow optimization.

• Monitor fabrication progress to ensure timely delivery of components critical to operational readiness and mission support.

• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of documentation, including task records, labor hours, job details, and material requisition forms, in compliance with customer reporting standards

. • Develop and implement training programs to ensure team proficiency in fabrication techniques and adherence to defense quality and safety protocols.

• Ensure proper completion of maintenance documentation such as maintenance orders, technical data sheets, and compliance reports.

• Enforce strict adherence to safety, housekeeping, and environmental regulations in accordance with customer and organizational policies.

• Monitor and control crafting and signage operations to ensure compliance with KPIs, OEM specifications, and customer requirements.

• Maintain accountability and serviceability of all issued tools, test equipment, and high-value assets, ensuring secure storage and routine inventory checks.

• Safeguard classified and sensitive company and customer -related information in accordance with security protocols.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Allied Trades Manager to support mission-critical operations. 

Minimum Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required. However, a technical diploma combined with substantial related experience may be considered as an alternative.

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in crafting and signage production, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

• At least 3 years of practical experience operating and programming CNC routers/engravers, laser engraving machines, industrial printers, and license plate press equipment.

• A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role is required.

• Prior military experience is an advantage.

 • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles and ISO standards is advantageous.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics is essential.

• Proficiency in using both conventional and digital precision measuring instruments.

• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications is required; experience with SAP is preferred.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English are required.

• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license.
