Team Lead - Radar Software Engineering

PULSE, the joint venture between EDGE and INDRA, is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Team Lead to drive the development of mission-critical defense applications. This role combines strong technical expertise in embedded systems with leadership, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring delivery of high-quality, compliant software solutions.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping technology direction, fostering innovation, and aligning engineering efforts with complex defense program objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of software engineers in the design and development of mission-critical defense applications
• Define team objectives, assign responsibilities, and track progress against milestones
• Manage integration of software with Radar, RF, Hardware and Test Systems
• Oversee the full software development life cycle, ensuring compliance with defense quality standards (NATO AQAP, MIL-STD)
• Collaborate with program managers and cross-functional leaders to align with program objectives
• Drive adoption of software best practices, agile methodologies, and continuous improvement
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and innovation in embedded systems
• Ensure robust documentation and support for certification processes

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years in software engineering, 3+ in leadership roles
• Strong embedded programming expertise (C/C++), Linux-based systems
• Strategic leadership in software engineering projects
• Familiarity with real-time programming and communication protocols (TCP/IP, MODBUS, SNMP)
• Proven record in delivering complex defense projects
• Experience Managing multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Knowledge of military grade documentation and certification processes
