ABOUT THE ROLE

REMAYA helps our clients verify and validate the performance of their platforms and systems through rigorous test and evaluation practices. We apply scientific methodologies and Systems-Engineering principles to gather critical performance data on test platforms and provide users with an evidence base which allows them to make well-informed, data-led decisions about their platforms and systems. REMAYA operates a secure test and evaluation facility, known as XRANGE. From its secure island setting, XRANGE provides over 350km2 of test range area as well as up to 10,000ft of airspace to assess platforms and systems in operationally realistic conditions and scenarios. Open all year around to both UAE and Internation clients and supported by dedicated infrastructure, advanced instrumentation and data capture systems, it is a unique testing environment in the heart of the Middle East. Our expert engineering teams support our clients with trials planning and advisory services across their product lifecycle, from concept to in service upgrades. REMAYA also deploys mobile instrumentation and support services directly to our clients, providing mobile test and evaluation range support both in the UAE and Globally.

Environmental Test Engineer is responsible for the execution and design of all the environmental tests that take place at the Abu Al Abyad Test Range and off-site test activities around all the environmental tests mentioned in MIL-STD-810-G and other relevant standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the client to design the optimum tests for relevant environmental tests that require the use of vibration shaker, climatic controlled chamber, pressure chamber, rain test chamber, etc.
• Work with client to establish the correct set up of an environmental test request.
• Design test fixtures.
• Contribute to produce a test procedure that the environmental test technicians can follow and apply to conduct the relevant test.
• Prepares the test reports and format the data to be inserted into these reports for the relevant test.
• Ensure that the environmental test equipment is used according to Range documentation
• Contribute to maintain a technology watch to ensure that the equipment is being used in the optimum way and that new equipment is planned for as required
• Search for new opportunities to improve the productivity and safety of his/her area of expertise.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor Degree on Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience
• Understanding of Environmental Testing including vibration, shock, drop, thermal, humidity, etc.
• Basic knowledge military equipment environmental testing
• Basic knowledge of dynamics, vibration, thermodynamics and related data analysis techniques.
