Trainer Lean Management

 

Core Accountabilities:

 

  • Preparing & giving high-quality training in his field of expertise within the LIF curriculum
  • Taking responsibility and managing the end-to-end Learning Processes (preparation, execution, participant coaching, evaluation, testing) for all trainings and courses within his responsibility within the LMS and LIF processes
  • Active involvement in the Continuous Improvement process for all trainings in his accountability in alignment with other related trainers and EDGE LIF Management
  • Active participation / involvement within EDGE Group projects directly related to his field of expertise to keep in touch with the practical application of own training contents
  • Master indiscipline, proficient on the other disciplines. Can teach others

 

Supporting Accountabilities:

 

  • Support of different kinds of events, formats and workshops within LIF dedicated to own area of expertise (e.g., Moderation of Workshops or Breakout Sessions, Guided tours for visitors, execution of training elements within onboarding events, …)
  • Regular active participation in trainer network activities and common workshops to evolve and improve the LIF portfolio and attractiveness as well as develop the competencies of the trainers themselves
  • Regular participation in alignment meetings & workshops with customer entities’ management to actively manage the customer relationship and support the implementation of required new trainings and upgrades
  • Support communication and marketing of the LIF within the EDGE group
  • Acting as Backup for the other Curriculums

 

Specific Experience and skills for Lean & Lean Digital Trainers:

 

  • Lean Methods (5S, Gemba, Standardization, Kanban, Pull, PDCA / Continuous Improvement, Line Balancing, Shopfloor Management, Problem Solving)
  • Lean Leadership & Coaching Skills (Leadership Coaching, Coaching Kata, Shopfloor Management)
  • Basic Experience with implementation and application of Industrie4.0 and digital tools / technologies in operations

 

Experience:

 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the relevant area of training and/or 3 years in a consultant, trainer or coach role for a large corporate
  • Proven experience in moderation, presentation and workshop or training formats with different job levels within operations
  • Profound and proven practical expertise within his area of expertise and a good over view of state of the art methods, tools and technologies within the field of expertise
  • Experience in UAE or Middle East is desirable

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s / PhD within mechanical, electrical or software engineering with a focus on industrial processes and production related topics (e.g., production, logistics, supply chain management, maintenance, …)
  • Certification as a “Trainer” (e.g., by participation in a train-the-trainer course) or as a “moderator / facilitator” is preferable

 

Key Skills:

 

  • MS Office
  • Knowledge of trainer role and general trainer skills
  • Experience in working with a LMS
  • Experience in working with tools and games to support learning processes
  • Very good Communication and interpersonal skills including Moderation and management of groups and group dynamics (also in difficult situations)
  • Desirable: First coaching experiences
  • Desirable: Experience with gamification & experiential learning
  • Proficiency in the English language
