ABOUT THE ROLE

As vCISO at Beacon Red, you will translate security strategy into practical execution across the EDGE Group — driving critical technology decisions and ensuring security is embedded across systems, platforms, and day-to-day operations. Working across entities, stakeholders, and technology teams, you will strengthen security architecture, risk management, and operational resilience while building the frameworks and capabilities that support a secure and scalable environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and drive the Group information security strategy, ensuring security architecture and technology decisions are embedded across all entities and environments
• Own the enterprise risk posture end-to-end — identifying, prioritising, and resolving risk across people, process, and technology at Group level
• Lead and stabilise the existing InfoSec team through a period of significant organisational change, building long-term capability and a high-performance security culture
• Set technical direction on security architecture, infrastructure, cloud, and operational environments — making and owning the decisions, not just advising on them
• Engage and influence senior stakeholders across Group entities without always having direct authority — translating complex risk into clear, actionable direction at board and executive level
• Drive the maturation of the InfoSec function through the current greenfield build — establishing the frameworks, standards, and controls that will define how EDGE approaches security at scale

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience at CISO level or equivalent, with full end-to-end ownership of an InfoSec function across a complex, multi-entity environment
• Demonstrated technical depth across security architecture, infrastructure, and operational security — someone who has made the decisions, not just framed them
• Experience leading teams through significant organisational change or greenfield build in a high-stakes environment
• Background in defence, national security, or critical infrastructure — you understand the threat landscape and the stakes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience operating at Group or enterprise level across multiple entities with differing security maturity levels
• Exposure to board-level security governance and executive stakeholder management in a politically complex environment
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
• Regional experience within the GCC or broader Middle East defence and security landscape
