Key Accountabilities:

1. End-to-End PO Management:

  • Oversee the entire life cycle of purchase orders, from creation to fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
  • Implement and optimize PO management systems and workflows to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline and automate PO processes.

 

2. Compliance and Policy Adherence:

  • Ensure strict adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to update and enhance procurement policies.

 

3. Supplier Collaboration:

  • Work closely with suppliers to resolve issues related to purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to facilitate effective communication and problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to implement improvements in the PO fulfillment process.

 

4. Training and Development:

  • Develop and deliver training programs to procurement teams on PO management processes, compliance, and best practices.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in procurement and PO management.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning within the procurement function.

 

5. Performance Metrics and Reporting:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track the effectiveness of PO management processes.
  • Generate regular reports for senior leadership, highlighting performance, compliance, and areas for improvement.

 

Experience & Education Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on PO management, preferably within the defense or aerospace industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on process optimization.
  • Experience in implementing and managing PO management systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Proactive problem solver with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
