The Director – Technical Talent Development at KATIM will play a pivotal role in positioning KATIM as the premier workplace for top engineering talent worldwide. Tasked with making KATIM the employer of choice in the secure communications field, this leadership position will be instrumental in devising and executing strategies to draw technical talent at all career stages—from recent graduates to seasoned researchers and engineers.


Directly reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the successful candidate will spearhead technical talent attraction at KATIM. This involves active participation in professional forums, nurturing relationships with educational institutions, working with institutions on curriculums where possible and crafting a compelling employer brand that showcases KATIM as the ultimate destination for engineering professionals.


We seek a dynamic Technology Evangelist who will go beyond talent attraction and take charge of developing and nurturing internal technical talent programs. This role will specifically focus on enhancing engineering capabilities within the realm of secure communications, reinforcing KATIM's commitment to fostering growth and innovation within its ranks.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Talent Attraction

  • Develop and execute innovative strategies to attract top engineering talent from universities, engineering institutions, and industry forums.

  • Attend forums, conferences, and events to promote KATIM as a preferred employer for technology enthusiasts.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in academic and professional communities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry forums, key universities and academic institutions to identify and engage with emerging engineering talent.

Brand Building

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive employer branding strategy to position the organization as a leader in the secure communications engineering space.

  • Cultivate and enhance KATIM's brand as a trailblazer in the field of secure communications engineering.

  • Publish articles, whitepapers, and case studies showcasing the organization's technical expertise and innovation.

  • Utilize social media and other platforms to amplify KATIM's presence within the engineering community.

Talent Development Programs

  • Design and implement comprehensive onboarding programs for new engineering hires, emphasizing the key engineering development aspects.

  • Create ongoing training and development initiatives to advance the capabilities of existing engineering teams.

  • Collaborate with internal technical teams and human capital functions to identify and address skill gaps within the organization.

  • Establish a mentorship program to facilitate knowledge transfer and skill development, emphasizing the unique aspects of Secure communications.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to individuals and teams to enhance their technical and professional capabilities, in collaboration with the Human Capital team

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the engineering landscape, including emerging technologies and industry trends.

Key Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the organization effectively in public forums.
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, industry professionals, and talent communities.
