We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network and Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Managed Services department, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure while ensuring the highest level of security. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in network architecture, security protocols, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex networking and security projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Network Design and Implementation:
   - Architect, design, and implement scalable and resilient network solutions.
   - Deploy and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
   - Ensure network availability, reliability, and performance meet or exceed business requirements.

2. Security Infrastructure:
   - Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to safeguard the organization's network and data.
   - Conduct regular security assessments and audits, addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

3. Firewall and VPN Management:
   - Design, configure, and manage firewalls to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
   - Implement and manage VPN solutions to provide secure remote access as per project requirements.

4. Intrusion Detection and Prevention:
   - Implement and manage intrusion detection and prevention systems to identify and mitigate security threats.
   - Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

5. Network Monitoring and Optimization:
   - Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance.
   - Conduct capacity planning to anticipate future network needs and recommend enhancements.

6. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
   - Work closely with other teams, including systems, applications, and infrastructure, to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.
   - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into network and security solutions.

7. Incident Response and Recovery:
   - Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures.
   - Lead incident response efforts in the event of a security breach, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors as necessary.

8. Security Awareness:
   - Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices to continuously improve security posture.

Experience and Education Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering and security roles.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
• Expertise in security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent.
