In this role, the Project Manager will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, manage project scope, budget and delivery timelines as well as resources, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

This role will be reporting into the Project Management lead with a dotted line into the CEO office.
Note: Activities marked with * concern the matrix reporting line to CEO office

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Integration Management: •    Develop project charters, create project management plans, direct and manage project work, monitoring and controlling project work, and perform integrated change control.
    •    * Manage the process of scope definition and change control, including estimating and negotiations of contract / scope variations (Anticipate change orders in a timely manner on important potential risks technical or other).
    •    * Provide the applicable project management KPIs (i.e. % planned and % completed in order to calculate relevant metrics, such as cost and schedule variance for EVM methodology
    •    * Ensure that projects are properly closed out by resolving all technical, commercial and legal issues.
    •    Work with sales (on request) to ensure that project proposals are supported with proposal deliverables e.g. risk/opportunity, estimates, project plan, planning
    •    * Participate in the continuous improvement process with respect to project management procedures, guidelines and tools highlighting any possible areas where improvements can be made.
    •    * Ensures full compliance with all EDGE & KATIM processes and tools, relating to project management and all included sub domains
  • Project Scope & Schedule Management: •    Manage the process of scope definition and change control, including estimating and negotiations of contract / scope variations (Anticipate change orders in a timely manner on important potential risks technical or other). •     Provide, when required, proposal support to Head of Sales and/or Solutions to get feasibility assumptions reflected into the proposals •    Define & sequence activities, estimate activity resources and durations, develop the project schedule, and control the schedule.
  • Project Cost Management: •    Estimate, budget, and control project costs, in close alignment with the Functional Heads within Engineering
    •    Monitor and Control the financial status of the project (Estimate at Completion (EAC), Billings, cost budgets, milestone payments, rebates, warranty).
    •    Deliver Projects in budget
    •    Cost Control – Responsible for managing direct & indirect overhead costs, using the time sheet process.
  • Project Quality Management: •    Quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control.
    •    * Apply applicable KATIM QA and project management procedures.
  • Project Resource Management:•    Effective utilization of assigned resources, including contractors and 3rd party resources and maintaining or improving resource allocated hours as in EL/ Contract or better.
    •    Ensures optimum utilization of resources assigned on projects. (In line with set targets)
    •    Continually evaluates assigned resources on the project in terms of skills and competency and provide feedback to the respective manager of the resource for resolution.
  • Project Stakeholder Management & Communication Management
        •    Identify stakeholders, understand their needs and expectations, and manage their engagement throughout the project lifecycle
    •    * Accurately report the status (resources, technical issues, customer satisfaction) of assigned projects on all key metrics.
    •    Request the support of the Security team, Deployment team and QA in a timely fashion.
    •    Continuous Engagement with the Engineering leads and Program Managers to ensure:
    •    * That the processes are followed
    •    That Project resource needs are anticipated
    •    The on-going balance of project resources (experience vs inexperience) on the Project is kept at an acceptable level
    •    that Project risks are anticipated from past experience and supporting the mitigation of those risks.
    •    that coaching is carried out in a timely fashion.
    •    Represents voice of delivery to customers, customers voice to delivery leadership.
    •    Timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and ultimate disposition of project information. 
    Project Risk & Opportunity Management
        •    Identify, analyze, and respond to project risks to maximize the likelihood of project success
    •    Establish and execute detailed plans to ensure that risks are mitigated and opportunities are realized.
    •    Monitor that Lead engineers raise technical cases when project technical issues can’t be resolved and ensure that these cases are followed up and escalated for timely resolution
    •    Report relevant new business opportunities to Account / Sales managers
    •    Identify opportunities for upgrading and upselling of project scope where possible 
    Project Procurement Management
        •    Create procurement plan, interface with Procurement team to ensure goods and services are acquired to fulfill project requirements. 
    Team Leadership    •    Lead and motivate the project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

    •    On time, in budget and in scope delivery of all projects and programs as baselined at the time of project initiation 

    Project Stakeholder Management/ Customer Satisfaction
    •    Establish professional relationships with customers to ensure highest customer satisfaction as per customer satisfaction survey (KPI as per current year KATIM Balanced Scorecard)
    •    Managing the interest of all stakeholders (Customer, KATIM, suppliers, etc) in the project as per internal satisfaction survey (KPI as per current year KATIM Balanced Scorecard)

    Project Resource Management
    •    Capacity, Utilization & resource allocation management (in line with approved project or program budget)
    •    Resource forecasting (within 10% accuracy).
    •    Time Sheets of all resources on assigned projects submitted and approved as per the organization policy
    •    Own timesheets submitted as per the organization policy.


    Key Metrics delivered to CEO Office

    Project Integration Management
    •    * Ensure that the project is correctly baselined and planned and managed during execution using the integrated tools of EPM, Oracle, Jira, Confluence, etc.

    •     Timely EPM Updates. (COB on Friday)
    o    Project plan update (% completion)
    o    Status updates
    o    Risks and Issues update
    o    Change orders, if applicable 
    •     EPM Cost plan update 
    •    Cost Overrun before approval requested ($ 0). 
    •    Project Delivery Process compliance as per KATIM’s and EDGE’s project and program management methodology (100%), including EVM metrics

    Project Stakeholder Management/ Communication Management
    •    Fully Prepared for Project reviews (100%) including minutes of meeting and action tracking stored on designated folders
    •    Functional Unit reviews
    •    CEO office reviews
    •    EDGE reviews
    •    Project Reports submitted on time with high level of accuracy and quality
     

Experience and Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5-8 proven experience as a Project Manager, managing projects from initiation to closure 
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.   
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
