We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our systems infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in systems architecture, network administration, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex infrastructure projects. 

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Systems Design and Implementation:
   - Architect, design, and implement robust and scalable systems infrastructure solutions.
   - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and requirements.
   - Evaluate emerging technologies, including VMware, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

2. Infrastructure Management:
   - Manage and optimize server and storage infrastructure, including VMware virtualization environments, to ensure high availability and performance.
   - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
   - Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.

3. Network Administration:
   - Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
   - Ensure network security through the implementation of best practices and security protocols.
   - Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and enhance overall network security.

4. VMware Expertise:
   - Design, deploy, and manage VMware virtualization environments, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
   - Implement and maintain VMware technologies, such as vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
   - Perform routine updates and patches to VMware infrastructure.

5. Project Leadership:
   - Lead and participate in infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project milestones.
   - Collaborate with other departments to gather requirements and define project scopes.

6. Capacity Planning:
   - Conduct capacity planning to anticipate future infrastructure needs and make recommendations for expansion or upgrades.
   - Develop and implement strategies for resource optimization and cost reduction.

7. Collaboration and Communication:
   - Work closely with other IT teams, including development, operations, and security, to ensure seamless integration and collaboration.
   - Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project status, issues, and resolutions.

 

Experience and Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems infrastructure design, implementation, and management.
  • In-depth knowledge of server hardware, virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms.
  • Strong experience in network administration and security.
  • Proficiency in VMware technologies (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi).
  • Proven experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools.
  • Industry certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.
