Key Accountabilities:

  • Monitor and maintain availability of inventory as per the established targets to meet the needs of manufacturing operational plans and projections
  • Execute root cause analysis of stock outs, late and overstock situations and propose improvement plans to minimize inventory exposure and maximize revenue
  • Effectively utilize supply chain planning procedures, processes, analytics, metrics and standards to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and offer high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Support in developing annual budgets for production and capacity requirements, to support operational objectives and key performance indicators
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure optimum supplier performance, improve in-bound fill rates, reduce lead time and drive additional cost reduction opportunities
  • Review purchase orders to ensure purchasing decisions achieve lowest overall cost-to-deliver for the supply chain. Make purchase decisions based on target inventory levels, order fill rates and demand variables
  • Actively involve and contribute in inventory systems development. Utilize ERP system to plan, order and forecast assigned items to maximize customer order fulfilment while minimizing inventory investment
  • Drive best practice approach in implementation and execution within supply planning to streamline and improve operational efficiencies and drive continuous process improvement
  • Collaborate across Operations, Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics and other departments to communicate constraints, recommend resolutions and allow efficient sharing of data and information
  • Use technological tools and internal data to generate reports for the management to highlight potential risks or capacity issues
  • Build and develop capabilities of the team by coaching, training, evaluating and mentoring them in accordance with good people management practices

 

Experience & Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Materials Management, Supply Chain or a related field
  • Certified in CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply)/ APICS/ CPIM/CSCP
  • 6 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Operations Management, or related position

 

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge Supply Chain concepts, Purchasing, Inventory Management, and their application
