Job Summary:

The role will be responsible for managing the team responsible for the testing and qualification of products and components related to the department. It will provide support for other areas, overseeing the testing, taking care of the test execution, making all arrangements for the test, providing technical expertise in test means and instrumentation. The Manager is responsible to establish the procedures and lead the team to provide the required services with the maximum efficiency, safely, short lead time and maximiun quality, taking in consideration all technical aspects.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Technical Lead
   • Review and approve the documentation generated for the projects related to the area of knowledge;
   • Support the company and top management providing support to define the strategy;
   • Provide support for internal and external clients, and to the management as needed, that can include support to Procurement, BDS, Commercial, Stores, among others;
   • Provide strong leadership and performance management to the team, developing the team technical and behavioral skills;
   • Establish and enforce standards, processes, and methodologies to drive efficiency, consistency, and quality in all activities.
   • Lead the team for test and evaluation of components and products, ensuring that all precautions were taken and the results are reliable;
   • Drive the selection of appropriate technologies and instruments to perform test, be aligned with the latest technologies in the market;
   • Conduct thorough risk assessments and support the implementation of risk mitigation strategies;
   • Stay updated with industry regulations, safety standards, export control, and other relevant requirements, ensuring strict compliance;
   • Provide insights in cutting edge and latest technologies available to the team;
   • Build and provide test report on time for all tests performed;
   • Keep a database of test reports, test instructions, instruments records and calibration.
2. Technical database and Support
   • Develop and maintain the technical database related to the field;
   • Develop and maintain test instructions and test reports;
3. Research and Development
   • Continuous research for solutions, technologies and market trends that can improve the services, reducing cost, enhancing reliability, reducing time, among others;
4. Training and Evaluation
   • Identify training needs for the teams and ways to fill the gaps;
   • Develop a knowledge database for on the field;
   • Develop training for clients (internal and external) related to the area of knowledge;
   • Define and oversee the testing, test specification and procedures, product evaluation, ensuring compliance with specifications and performance requirements;
5. Collaboration and Communication
   • Establish effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the Products portfolio;
   • Keep proper communication and reporting about the activities;
   • Able to share knowledge and communicate with team members;
   • Participate in meeting with end user to guide and understand their requirements;
   • Constant communication with external parties such as MOD and authorities to coordinate for testing;

Experience & Education Qualifications:

• Expertise:  Experience (Graduate with 4-6 Years of Experience) in the defence industry, Extensive experience in munitions testing and qualification standards. Good communication skills and capacity to lead and develop people;
• Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field, with proven experience on the subject.
• Defense Industry Expertise: The candidate should understand munitions testing, that includes but are not limited to arena tests, fragment recovery, environmental tests, among others.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong technical background in Ammunition Manufacturer and Designer, knowledge in testing and qualification of final products and components. Knowledge in standards and requirements. Familiarity with relevant safety and quality standards (e.g., MIL-STD, ISO, AS9100). Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) and simulation software. System engineering knowledge;
