 Job Summary:

The Test Engineer 2 shall be responsible for organizing and perform the testing and qualification of products and components. It will provide technical support for other areas, overseeing the testing, taking care of the test execution, making all arrangements for the test, providing technical expertise in test means and instrumentation. The person is responsible to define and ensure the test method that will deliver the required result to the client and organize, coordinate and execute the test. This role will lead the involved parties during the test execution.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Technical Lead
   • Support the company and top management to define the strategy; as well as to internal and external clients, and to the management as needed, that can include Establish and enforce standards, processes, and methodologies to drive efficiency, consistency, and quality in all activities.
   • Drive the selection of appropriate technologies and instruments to perform test, be aligned with the latest technologies in the market;
   • Conduct thorough risk assessments and support the implementation of risk mitigation strategies;
   • Provide insights in cutting edge and latest technologies available to the team;
2. Technical database and Support
   • Develop and maintain the technical database related to the field, test instructions for each type of test to be performed;
   • Write the final report for each test; and Maintain a list of equipment’s and instruments;
   • Organize test with all the required parts, taking care of all the aspects, and making sure all parties are involved;
3. Research and Development
   • Continuous research for solutions, technologies and market trends that can improve the services, reducing cost, enhancing reliability, reducing time, among others; and developing new ways of testing;
4. Training and Evaluation
   • Develop a knowledge database for the field; with guiding and developing young personnel in the field;
   • Define and oversee the testing, test specification and procedures, product evaluation, ensuring compliance with specifications and performance requirements; and deliver training for clients
5. Collaboration and Communication
   • Establish effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the Products portfolio;
   • Able to share knowledge and communicate with team members; Participate in meeting with end user to guide and understand their requirements;

Experience & Education Qualifications:

• Expertise:  Experience (Graduate with 4-6 Years of Experience) in the defence industry, Extensive experience in munitions testing and qualification standards. experience in organizing, coordinating and conducting tests for ammunition and military products. Interpretation of test results. Good communication skills and capacity to lead and develop people. Knowledge of the process required to arrange a test.
• Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field, with proven experience on the subject.
• Defense Industry Expertise: The candidate should understand munitions testing, that includes but are not limited to arena tests, fragment recovery, environmental tests, among others.
• Technical Knowledge: Experience in military items testing, specially ammunition. Previous experience in organizing and performing ammunition testing, knowledge in testing and qualification of final products and components. Knowledge in standards and requirements. Familiarity with relevant safety and quality standards (e.g., MIL-STD, ISO, AS9100). Good reporting skills and ability to write reports.
