About The Role
As a Gunsmith at EDGE, you will inspect, maintain, repair, and modify firearms to ensure they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. Working closely with Product Maintenance and Quality teams, you will troubleshoot firearm issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support the safe handling and testing of weapons.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain firearms and related components.
- Perform disassembly, reassembly, cleaning, lubrication, and functional testing of firearms.
- Modify and fit firearm components in accordance with technical drawings and customer specifications.
- Operate hand tools, workshop machinery, and measuring equipment to complete repair and maintenance activities.
- Support quality inspections, testing, and safe handling of firearms throughout the maintenance process.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, quality standards, and company procedures.
Basic Qualifications
- Technical or High School Diploma in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Gunsmith or Firearms Maintenance Technician.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, gauges, and workshop machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the defense or small arms manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of firearm manufacturing, maintenance, and repair techniques.
- Experience with metalworking, machining, or woodworking processes.
