About the Job
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Logistics Support Specialist to assist in the coordination and planning of logistics support for military activities. This role works closely with military personnel, contractors and internal support teams to ensure that all supplies, equipment, transport, medical support, and associated services are effectively planned, coordinated and delivered. The role plays a key part in maintaining operational readiness through strong oversight of logistics activity and timely resolution of issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and coordination of logistics support for military exercises, training events and operational activities
- Translate operational requirements into practical logistics plans, schedules and support arrangements
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure resources, services and support requirements are aligned to activity needs
- Monitor logistics implementation and highlight risks, delays or changes impacting delivery
- Coordinate supply, equipment, vehicle and service support including storage, distribution, issue and replenishment activities
- Support visibility of stock levels, asset movements and service support requirements
- Assist in coordinating medical and ambulance support requirements, ensuring appropriate coverage and escalation of risks
- Support ammunition forecasting, record keeping and compliance with procedures
- Assist in transport and movement coordination for personnel, equipment and materials, tracking deliveries and resolving issues
- Act as a liaison between military personnel, contractors and internal teams, ensuring clear, timely and respectful communication across all stakeholders
- Monitor logistics activity against plans, maintaining accurate records, reports and tracking information
- Ensure all activities comply with safety, security and operational requirements, supporting contingency planning and issue resolution
- Contribute to continuous improvement in logistics efficiency, coordination and delivery performance
About you
- Proven experience in logistics, supply support, transport coordination or operational support
- Experience within defence, government, or contractor-led environments.
- Strong experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders in complex environments
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and planning documentation
- Comfortable working in a civilian role supporting military activities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
