About the Role

 

As a Material QC Senior Supervisor at EDGE, you will lead quality control activities across incoming materials, in-process inspections, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements. Working closely with Production, Procurement, and Engineering teams, you will oversee inspection processes, support continuous improvement initiatives, and drive operational excellence across manufacturing operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead material inspection, testing, and quality control activities for incoming, in-process, and finished products.
  • Review and approve inspection records, test reports, and ERP quality transactions.
  • Oversee calibration and traceability of measuring and testing equipment.
  • Investigate non-conformities, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and develop quality inspection teams while ensuring compliance with IMS, QMS, and HSE requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001), inspection methods, and ERP systems.
  • Experience leading quality inspection activities and teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the defense, ammunition, or explosives industry.
  • Internal Auditor (IMS) certification.
  • Knowledge of calibration systems, statistical analysis, and manufacturing quality processes.
